The Trading Room is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 11:00pm EST. Periodically, the room will be open longer, but for the most part, the best trades are taken in the morning.

General Chat Room Information

The LIVE chat room is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 11:00am. Typically we start the day off at about 9:00am scanning the market for potential trading alerts, what stocks gapped over night, what stocks are moving pre-market and of course to set up our charts for the day. Normally there are no trading alerts pre-market however; this does not mean there never will be one. At the market open the pace is pretty quick so we suggest ONLY advanced, seasoned traders take any plays if ANY at all. The newbie’s should sit on the side lines and watch for the first few minutes until the market / stock finds its trend. From 12pm to approx. 1:30pm this is known as the Dead Zone. Normally we take a lunch break here and discuss the morning alerts and review any questions any MEMBERS may have. All members are encouraged to get involved and discuss potential set ups as we’re all here to learn and feed off each other. So if you see a stock moving or a potential trading alert…feel free to share it with the room, but REMEMBER, no hyping a stock.

Our Trading Style

The trading technique we trade is swing trading. you can expect to hold a position for minutes, or hours and periodically overnight (as long as we're racking up the profits). Our strategy was developed over a number of years of studying charts and technical analysis. Trading this style takes a lot of DISCIPLINE. We follow intraday charts to find where our entry point would be and when we would potentially exit the trade. We use a stop on all trades as those who get emotionally attached to their position will NEVER succeed. You always have to remember, “There’s always another trade” and “take profits quick and take them often”. We trade off 10-minute CANDLE charts and use the Futures Markets and news to determine the overall market direction AT THE OPEN. All traders should do their OWN pre-market research to get a feel for the current days situation and ALWAYS be up to date on the what economic reports / earnings reports are due out in the day to ensure you’re not on the wrong side of the market at the wrong time. Typically we should let the reports play out prior to pointing out any potential entry plays.

No Tolerance Policy

DAY TRADING EDGE (DTE) has a NO TOLERANCE POLICY for hyping stocks, mention of penny stocks or "Pink Sheets", marketing competitor sites, vulgar or abusive language or behavior, or any major disruptions in the Chat Room during the day and reserves the right to cancel any MEMBER or MEMBERS found abusing this policy. As a member I understand and agree that my membership may be terminated by DTE without refund if I am found in violation of this policy during any trial period or during my membership.

Room Access

Day Trading Edge stock chat room is password protected and only available to members or subscribers of our newsletter. In order to enter the chat room you must subscribe to our service via credit card. You will get a password to access the chat room. Chat room membership and access is limited to only one user name. Any violation of the one user name policy will result in the users membership being cancelled with no refund.

Our Alerts

Educational trading alerts are provided in the chat room for both long and short trades. There is normally anywhere from 1-2 trades per DAY and could be more OR LESS DEPENDING UPON MARKET CONDITIONS. A trading alert CAN and WILL ONLY be posted by the MODERATOR. These educational alerts provide a great tool for the members of the room to discuss why there was an alert and how it was played.

DAY TRADING SET UP

Most beginner traders use a single monitor but we suggest you have at least 2 monitors – one for charting and the other for your broker platform (to do this you would need a dual monitor card). You may also want to ensure you are using a newer computer with at least 2-3GB as a lot of market data will be flowing through your system.
